Come away with me (With me #1)

th

Hello Ladies and Gentleman! It is good to be back… well for a little while at least. I am currently enjoying my winter break or as the school system now calls it “Presidents week.’ I’m not complaining, they can call it whatever they want as long as I get a week’s vacation. It is much needed. So I’ll be spending my time thinking of lesson plans and reading for fun. I’m hoping to add a few more reviews to this website as soon as I can. I’ve missed this. Come Away With Me is the first book in Kristen Proby’s series. I had started with the second one because that’s how the kindle deal worked. I’ve finally gotten time to finish it. This story is about Natalie and Luke Williams. THE LUKE WILLIAMS. okay, I just had to say that. Once you read the book you will understand why. Here is a brief background of the novel provided by Goodreads: Being confronted on the beach by a sexy stranger wasn’t part of Natalie Conner’s plans for a peaceful morning taking photos. And why on earth would he think she’s taking pictures of him, anyway? Who is he? One thing’s for sure, he’s hot, and incredibly romantic, feeding Natalie’s wounded soul.

Luke Williams just wants the world to give him a break, so seeing yet another camera aimed at his face has him ready to pounce on the beauty behind the lens. When he finds out she has no idea who he is, he’s intrigued and more than a little tempted by her. Natalie has a body made for sex, a sassy mouth and Luke can’t get enough of her, but he’s not ready to tell her who he really his.

Natalie is a no nonsense girl who doesn’t do well with lies and secrets. What will happen to this new relationship when she discovers what Luke’s hiding?

This was a very interesting book. Since I had started out with the second novel, I was very curious to see how this relationship started. This novel did not disappoint. Natalie is a strong female but is still in touch with her emotional side. She is just simply lost in her own little world. I think that makes her perfect for Luke. Luke is the actor turned producer who is just trying to ind someone who doesn’t treat him like a movie star but as a real person. Natalie is perfect since she has no idea who he is. I really enjoyed how they came together as a couple. It was quick but it was also more right time and right place kind of situation. It just worked. It was also interesting to see Jules in a different setting. Jules is the best friend of Natalie, the main character in book two. Jules is a little different in the first book than in her own. She’s more supportive of her friends and cares a great deal (not saying that she wasn’t in her book, it was just shown differently). The only problem with this book was that it was mainly in Natalie’s perspective. You only got Luke’s perspective once and I thought there could have been more. I really wanted to know what was happening in his mind. A short snip-it is not enough to satisfy me.

As for the sex scenes, very organic. I thought their relationship progressing into the bedroom was at the right speed for their relationship. They seem to fit well together. Also, the sex scenes were filled with steam and hottiness (and yes, I did just invent a word for it). It was so hot that I left steam billowing in front of my glasses that is if I wore any. I don’t there was a scene in this novel that I did not like. It was great all around. I especially liked the fact that the sex scenes were in Natalie’s perspective. It made it more personal for the reader.

Overall, I give this novel 4.5 out 5. Nothing bad except for the one time it switches perspective. Other than that the story was great. I was really glad this was the first in the series, it really let’s you know who the characters are. It allows you to start loving them before their own story. If you enjoyed this review, I recommend that you read all of Kristen Proby’s series. It is really good, but don’t take my word for it. Find out for yourself. I cannot guarantee when I’ll be able to review another book but hopefully it will be soon. Keep Reading my lovely followers.
