Searching For Always (Searching For #4)

Ladies and Gentlemen, I believe that I am back… for at least a little while. The new semester starts soon which limits my time to read books and write reviews. A new school year means new students. I do have one announcement before I get to my review of the fourth book in Jennifer Probst’s searching series. If anyone knows anyone who has extra teen literature books that they don’t need anymore, I will gladly take them. My classroom is bare and needs books to fill.

Searching for Always is the final book in the Searching series written by Jennifer Probst. Jennifer Probst is the author of Marriage to a Billionaire series. Searching for Always is about Arilyn Meadows and Stone Petty. Here is a brief background provided by Goodreads: She’s an expert in helping others de-stress, but Arilyn Meadows is running on fumes. Along with her job counseling singles seeking soul mates at the Kinnections agency in Verily, New York, she’s a yoga teacher, animal shelter volunteer, anger management therapist, and helping hand to her beloved grandfather. No time to find Mr. Right—but after discovering her yogi boyfriend in a compromising asana, Arilyn would rather dog-sit for her honeymooning friend Kate than risk her heart on another downward dog. And when police officer Stone Petty—radiating masculinity and bad-boy attitude—is sent to her for mandatory lessons in cooling off when the job gets too hot, Arilyn vows to ignore his seductive glances and sexy grin. But there’s no halting their sizzling flirtation—a red-hot, high-speed chase that’s breaking all the limits.

Out of all the books in this series I do prefer the first one, however this novel is my second favorite. I love the fact that Arilyn is usually a calm person but once she gets near Stone Petty it is nothing but fireworks. The chemistry is explosive and simply intriguing. It’s a very interesting dynamic. Both have such unique personalities that are strong and constantly crash. Jennifer Probst is great at writing such dynamic characters that have personal problems which allows the reader to see them as real.  I believe that Arilyn’s relationship with her grandfather helped make the novel. It added the connection to family that was missing from the other novels. The other novels mention family but this novel really goes into depth about the relationship between grandfather and granddaughter. Another thing I was absolutely tickled about was the change in the male lead and his relationship with his coworkers. If you want a novel that pulls on your heart-strings, well this is the one.

Now, on to the good part. Let’s talk about sex. The one thing that was irritating about this novel was that it took quite a while to get to the sex. Nevermind that it works well with the storyline and really builds the tension between the characters. When you final reach that climax of the novel (and climax in the scene) you better have a fan ready at hand. The scenes are filled with hot hot passion. It makes the blood boil and the angels sing. Jennifer Probst wrote scenes that were both filled with passion and filled with tenderness that makes you ache to be in her spot if only for a moment.

Overall I give this novel a 4 out of 5. I thoroughly enjoyed the intricacies of the passionate relationship that takes hold of Stone Petty and Arilyn Meadows. I cannot wait for the next series that comes out or the next book in this series. If you have not read any of Jennifer Probst’s books I suggest you start with the first in the Billionaires series. Enjoy!
