Always on My Mind (The Sullivan’s #8)

Bella Andre delivers her best novel of the series so far. I cannot say for the rest of the series, but I thoroughly loved this novel and the characters. If you haven’t read this series you really should. (or at least read my other reviews on this series). This is the last of the bay area Sullivan’s to find true love. This is Lori’s story. Here is a brief background of the novel provided by Goodreads: After a tragic loss three years ago, Grayson Tyler left his life in New York City behind and started over in the rolling hills of the California coast. He’s convinced himself that all he’ll ever need again is the blue sky, a thousand acres of pasture, and the crashing waves of the ocean. Until one day, Lori Sullivan barges into his life and promptly blows his emotionless and solitary world to shreds, driving him crazy as only a woman nicknamed “Naughty” can. But will Lori be able to convince him that it’s safe to love her…and that forever isn’t actually out of reach?

I was completely thrilled that Grayson had a tragic past the related to his characteristics. He is a lost soul, a man who blames himself for things out of this control. This is a great man. One who is completely willing to sacrifice himself for others. He never asks for anything except for Lori to leave. Everyone has problems in their life that its hard to get over and his was one of the worst.  He is such a complete contrast to Lori, a fun, bubbly woman. I love Lori as a character, she continued to surprise me through out the entire novel. I admire Lori’s spirit and her complete joy for life, her unwillingness to give up on those she loves. I am very glad that she was the last to achieve marital bliss in that family. Grayson is so moody and mysterious that it was hard to fall in love with him.

As for the sex scenes, *sigh*. They were filled with love, joy, steam, and lust. Lust-filled sex scenes is the  scenes that Bella Andre know how to write, and she writes them so well. The sex scenes were never pointless or there for the sake of sex, but scenes that progressed the storyline and characters growth.

Overall, I give this novel a 5 out 5 stars. I simply loved it and cannot wait to finish the entire series(although she’s still writing it). The next story I will be reviewing is Rafe. They mentioned him briefly in Ryan’s story.
