It Must be Your Love (The Sullivans #11)

This is the second book in the Seattle Sullivans but the 11 book in the series. I simply cannot get enough of Bella Andre’s characters. They are simply fantastic. Here is a brief summary of the novel provided by Goodreads: Successful Seattle Realtor Mia Sullivan is nobody’s fool…apart from that one week five years ago when she gave away her heart to a sexy musician who gave her nothing in return but a few sinfully perfect days—and nights—in his bed. Though she swears she never wants to see him again, he’s the one man she’s never been able to forget.

One of the hottest rock stars in the world, Ford Victor can have any woman he wants…except Mia Sullivan. But now he knows millions of strangers singing along with his songs can’t fill the hole inside of him. Only Mia’s love has the power to do that—so he vows to do anything and everything it takes to win her heart again.

From the first moment they see each other again, intense sparks of attraction fly. Between irresistible kisses, a romantic Sullivan wedding in Napa Valley, and a deeply sensual connection that neither of them can deny, can Mia and Ford finally rediscover a love—and a friendship—strong enough to last forever?

Mia Sullivan is a lovely woman who is on charge of her own destiny. She created her own very successful real estate business and is recovering from a broken heart. Ford, however, is the typical rock star one who can’t see a good thing when he had it. He does now. I thought this was an interesting dynamic. The characters just didn’t seem like they would belong together or have anything in common but it’s nice to see that having everything in common is the case. It was interesting to see them come together. She doesn’t want her heart-broken and I completely understand. Why would you set yourself up for a broken heart with the same guy that did the breaking. I was glad to see her try again and really open herself up to rejection. I loved how Ford was different. He changed and realized his mistakes before it was too late.

There was not too much sex scenes in this novel. I was actually okay with that because of hoe the novel progressed. We already knew they had a great sexual chemistry but could they be friends? Becoming friends is the hardest thing to do especially if you already had some sort of relationship. It is easier to fall back into the same patterns. I thought saving the sex for the end was a great way to show their growth into friendship.

Overall, I give this novel a 4 out of 5. It was great, but I enjoyed some of her other novels more. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I am thoroughly enjoying discovering Bella Andre’s writing style.
